The Kindness Global Nation opens its doors to the first 222 people.
Are you one of them?

…
Maybe you've heard me say this before, but the first time I remember being bullied, I was three years old.
Researching it afterwards I discovered that almost all human beings go through something similar — that universal experience of suddenly not feeling safe, sometimes even with the people we believed would take care of us.
Around age three we start to have enough cognitive capacity to differentiate: ah, this is happening… and yet, this doesn't feel good to me.
[When was the first time you remember not feeling safe?]
…About 20 years later, I was lucky enough to be invited to a kindness circle — a family with five children who gathered every night to listen to each other, where everyone could share what was most alive for them, in a space of genuine care and respect. I saw a four-year-old share something difficult that had happened to him that morning. And I could notice how that tension left his body.
Wow. He was able to let it go before turning five. I've been carrying my childhood challenges for decades.
How powerful and healing is the effect of kindness.
In some way since I was 16 — from my first awakening experience, which led me to study philosophy, to become a monk, to write Happiness Is Easy, to fall pregnant with this idea we call Hawimi — I've been dedicated to this: how do I return to a kind world? How do I create it for myself and for others?
It was right in front of my eyes. It was as simple as making an agreement — not just with myself, but with at least one other human being.

A world where kindness is the CEO is one click away. On the other side there's an entire ecosystem built to expand kindness in our lives and in the world. But those are extras.
The most important thing is a single choice. And the difference between believing it individually sometimes, or agreeing to it explicitly with at least one other person, is enormous — science backs this up: we're built not to let our tribe down. That can be a limitation, or it can be a superpower.
I choose to be the change I want to see in the world. I choose kindness to build a kind world. I choose to stop delegating what cannot be delegated.

We Choose Kindness™
PD. World Kindness Day is November 13th. We're still in July — and you can already sign. We don't need to wait for the day UNESCO decided. We can do it now, and choose it, and remind each other of it every day…
